Right from the very early stages of development, all of our key intermediates and API processes have been developed with freedom to operate. ScinoPharm's major customers are European and North American-based and we therefore not only protect our own IP but also respects others' (according to applicable patent, trademark and trade secret laws). In fact, more than seven of the API processes that ScinoPharm Kunshan as developed as a captive service for its parent company have pending patents.

After conducting a preliminary patent search and developing a process route, we supply the detailed experimental data to our patent engineering department at ScinoPharm Taiwan so that they can conduct a full patent search to ensure that the process has freedom to operate. In some cases when novel chemistry has been developed, we submit patent applications to protect our own IP.

We fully protect the IP of our CRO clients and any new chemistry developed and associated IP rights belongs to the client.
