Prior to co-founding ScinoPharm, Dr. Chan was Vice President of Research and Director of Biotechnology for Syntex. Dr. Chan was also a member of Syntex's Committee on Biotechnology Investments and was a recipient of the distinguished Syntex's Chairman's Science Award. Currently the Executive Vice President of ScinoPharm Taiwan, Ltd., Dr. Chan is responsible for the company's Research and Development as well as Business Development. Dr. Chan is a co-founder of ScinoPharm and is also the Chairman of ScinoPharm Investments Ltd., a BVI
registered company. Dr. Chan also serves as a senior
adviser to the Taiwanese government, Industrial
Technology Research Institute and to the Development
Center for Biotechnology in Taiwan. He is currently an
Adjunct Professor at the National Cheng Kung
University. Dr. Chan holds a Ph.D. in Biochemistry and
a B.S. in Chemistry from University of Wisconsin,
Madison. Dr. Chan has over 60 scientific manuscripts in
peer-reviewed journals and three published patents. He is the CEO of ScinoPharm Kunshan.
Dr. Yung-Fa (Fred) Chen (B.Sc., M.S. and Ph.D., Chemistry)

Has 16 years working experience in the Pharmaceutical and Chemical industry.
Dr. Chen holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Wayne State University, USA, a M.S. in Chemistry from National Taiwan University, and a B.S. from Tunghai University. Dr. Chen is the holder of six patents. Prior to joining ScinoPharm in 1998, Dr. Chen was employed for 7 years in the Refining and Manufacturing Research Centre of Chinese Petroleum Corporation (CPC) where he worked on specialty chemical products and in process R&D.
He was an adjunct professor of Chemistry at Tunghai University in Taiwan for 5 years and at Wayne State University as a postdoctoral fellow of Medicinal Chemistry for two years. Dr. Chen has 16 years experience in chemical and pharmaceutical R&D. His expertise includes medicinal chemistry, process R&D and technology transfers.
Mr. Yu-Chih Yang (B.Sc., Chemistry)

Has 18 years working experience in the Pharmaceutical and Chemical industry.
Mr. Yang received a B.Sc. degree from Taiwan University and for 14 years supervised and managed QC operations. Mr. Yang has extensive experience in ISO9001/14001 protocols as well as pharmaceutical cGMP experience including SOP document preparation, validation and stability protocol. After initial employment as QC manager for 6 years at ScinoPharm Taiwan, Mr. Yang was transferred to ScinoPharm China in 2004 to build a GMP compliant QC/ARD laboratory with responsibilities extended to QA, and then later to the Technology support department and MM (material management).
Dr. Julian P. Henschke (B.Sc. (Hons), Ph.D., Chemistry)

Dr. Henschke received a B.Sc. degree from the Flinders University of South Australia followed by a Ph.D.
from the Australian National University in the Australian Capital Territory, Canberra, Australia (1997). Dr. Henschke conducted post-doctoral research for 3 years with Professor Tony Barrett at Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine, London, UK followed by 5 years working experience in the fine chemical and medicinal chemistry contract industry in the UK while at ChiroTech Ltd (a subsidiary of DowPharma) and Argenta Discovery Ltd. Dr. Henschke has been R&D manager at ScinoPharm Kunshan for the past
two years.
