Professor Weiyong Ma is the Director of R/D and Vice President. He was formally the Vice Chief Engineer of Shanghai Institute of Pharmaceutical Industry and the Director of a new drug research and development group. He has more than thirty years experience in medicinal research and development.

Professor Meihua Xie is Vice Director of R/D. She is a researcher from Shanghai Institute of Pharmaceutical Industry and was among the first to be awarded a special government grant from the State Council of China. She also has more than thirty years experience.

George Schloemer is a Vice Director of R/D. He has more than twenty five years experience in drug process research and development. He was employed by Syntex Corporation and recently owned a small process development firm specializing in semi-synthetic natural products. He holds approximately 23 international drug process patents and was awarded the national Presidential Green Chemistry Award in 2000.
